Due to the Pandemic, the uncertainty for families as the new school year approaches is wide open. Administrators are juggling health guidelines, health needs of students, and the urgency to continue quality education. Parents are navigating fears of the pandemic and the loss of loved ones. Churches and ministries are uniquely positioned to fill in the gaps with peaceful strength, sound wisdom, and physical presence.
2020 Strategy Our mission to help families with first day school supplies has stretched to include supporting schools with Classroom Survival Kits for teachers. Teachers need our support more than ever this year.
We are asking Churches and Ministries to adopt local schools. We envision a partnership that seeks to encourage every teacher at the school with supplies and other volunteering opportunities. We are purposing that each school has at least one Church that desires to engage in a life-giving relationship. More than one church can adopt a school. There are 55 total schools in Tuscaloosa. Each kit will include $30 - $60 of school supplies for the classroom
Each Teacher kit can have supplies for 5 -10 children.
