Backpack Connections partners with
LifeTotes.org, ordering backpacks handcrafted in Cambodia by those who’ve been rescued from the sexual and/or slave labor trade.
The bagmakers sew the backpacks in their homes, NOT in a factory. The backpacks are shipped to us and then are given freely to students in Tuscaloosa City and County schools.
A portion of the purchase price is reinvested back to help Cambodian students.
In Cambodia, one school has been built through the partnership of Backpack Connections, Tuscaloosa and LifeTotes, Atlanta. Educational materials have also been provided.
