Apples for Education
If you are interested in volunteering at the 2023 Apples for Education table at the University Mall Center Court July 7th-24th, please sign-up for a two hour time slot right away! Volunteers can be individuals or church/civic/community groups. We thank you for your contributions to this worthwhile community endeavor.
Apples for Education is a campaign organized by Backpack Connections to raise funds and collect school supplies for students with the most need in our city and county schools. Volunteers will work in groups of two or more, for two hour time slots, to distribute apples at the Apples for Education table at the University Mall. The green and gold apples represent a monetary donation of one dollar or more where as the red apples indicate a donation of a backpack filled with suggested supplies for one student.
How it works
Adopting Red, Green and Gold Apples helps fund the needs of children in our community.
Red Apples are adopted to supply a Pre K - Elementary Student, Middle School - High School Student by purchasing the supplies and returning them to Backpack Connections or your donation site.
Green Apples represent monetary donations for supplies
Gold Apples represent monetary donations for Backpacks and supplies for 1 or multiple students starting at $30 or more
